Christina grew up in NYC all her life and has lived in every borough except Staten Island. Upon graduating high school, she first attended Carnegie Mellon before transferring to SUNY Plattsburgh in upstate New York to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Child Education. During her time at SUNY, she learned about the intricacies of child development and was inspired to take a more long-term approach to her work.
During the summers, she worked part-time at Friends New York, and almost immediately after graduating from college in 2014, she took a full-time position as a mentor. She has served as a professional mentor with Friends NY for over 8 years and has recently been promoted to a Program Manager. Christina believes that all youth have the potential to be anything they want and continues to be a champion for youth empowerment.
