Kevin Watson's dedication to community service began in his middle school years in Dallas, TX, where he worked with The Bethlehem Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on supporting families in poverty. This early experience ignited his passion for helping others, setting the course for a life dedicated to making a difference. Kevin's journey continued at Morehouse College, where he earned a B.A. with the help of a four year music scholarship. His commitment to service and leadership flourished, paving the way for his professional career. Kevin's career journey took a significant turn when he left the corporate world at AIG in Atlanta, GA, to fully immerse himself in social services in New York City in 2017. There, he dedicated his talents to Friends of the Children New York, a testament to his strong sense of purpose and his commitment to making a difference.
In his roles as a Mentor, Program Manager, and Interim Program Director for the National Office, Kevin has made a lasting impact on the lives of countless children and their families. His exceptional service was nationally recognized in 2019 when he received the "Hero of the Year" award from Superbowl Champion Russell Wilson, highlighting him as a beacon of hope and a catalyst for change.
Now serving as the Associate Director of Development, Kevin has achieved significant fundraising milestones and strengthened donor relationships, further advancing the mission of Friends of the Children New York. With over seven years of dedication to the organization, Kevin's journey exemplifies unwavering commitment and leadership in transforming lives.
