August 12, 2020 The Pinkerton Foundation Unwavering support. The Pinkerton Foundation’s support of Friends of the Children–New York has been unwavering. To date, Pinkerton is the New York chapter’s longest-running foundation supporter. The foundation focuses on direct-service programs that help young people reach their full potential. Beginning in 2001 at the chapter’s inception, Pinkerton has invested nearly $3 million. Recently, Pinkerton provided extra funding to help the chapter build out their space in Harlem and their new site in the South Bronx. "We are excited to see this great program grow," said Pinkerton's Senior Program Officer, Laurie Dien. “We’ve been with Friends–New York from the start, and they have demonstrated the power of their mission: to change the destiny of New York City’s most vulnerable children, one child at a time.”
