Celebrating our 7th Annual ‘Run With Friends’ 5K!
A Morning of Community, Celebration, and Impact
Our 7th Annual Run With Friends 5K brought our community together at Riverside Park for a morning of movement, connection, and impact. Thanks to the generosity of our participants, sponsors, and supporters, this year’s event raised more than $100,000 to support Friends of the Children – New York’s mission of providing long-term, professional mentoring to youth facing systemic obstacles across New York City.
Congratulations to our top finishers in the male and female categories, Theo Verdesca and Tina Davis, for setting the pace and crossing the finish line with determination! If you’d like to check out the finish times, you can check here.
After the race, participants and families stayed to enjoy a morning of fun and connection at Riverside Park. The celebration included snacks, music, and face painting, along with backpacks and water bottles for our community. One of the highlights was watching our Achievers hand out medals to runners as they crossed the finish line, celebrating their accomplishments and cheering them on. A magic show brought even more excitement to the morning, making it a memorable day for our community.
We extend our sincere thanks to our generous sponsors—Kirkland & Ellis, Davis Polk, Paul Hastings, Willkie Farr & Gallagher, and Latham & Watkins—for their support of this year’s Run With Friends 5K. Their partnership helps make this event possible and supports our mission of providing long-term, professional mentoring to youth across New York City. We’re also deeply thankful to our runners, fundraisers, donors, and supporters who made this event a huge success. Altogether, your efforts helped us to raise more than $100,000, a new record that will have a lasting impact on the youth and families we serve.
Whether you ran, donated, volunteered, or cheered from afar, you were part of something truly special. Thank you so much! And if you haven’t donated already, you can still make an impact by donating today at the link below.
